Early in the morning, you will be taken from your accommodation to the airport to catch your scheduled morning flight to the mainland. During the flight, you’ll enjoy stunning aerial views of Tanzania’s coastline, countryside and natural landscapes. The journey continues towards the world-famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will now descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, which has been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its incredible natural beauty and high concentration of wildlife. From the crater rim, you will drive down approximately 600 metres to the crater floor, where one of Africa’s most biodiverse habitats awaits you. During your game drive, you can spot lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hyenas and, if you’re lucky, the rare black rhino. At a picturesque picnic spot near a hippo pool in the crater, you can enjoy your packed lunch whilst surrounded by the crater’s breathtaking scenery and wildlife. This is also a great opportunity to relax, take photos and observe the animals up close. During another short game drive in the afternoon, you can explore the crater floor further and spot more wildlife. In the late afternoon, you will leave the crater and make your way to the airport for your return flight. On arrival in Zanzibar, Nitoursandsafaris will take you to your accommodation.
