After being picked up from your accommodation in Zanzibar, you will fly to Arusha Airport, where you will be met by Nitoursandsafaris and set off for Tarangire National Park to embark on your game drive. Your adventure begins early in the morning with a transfer from your accommodation in Zanzibar to the airport. You will receive a brief briefing. You will then drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic wildlife areas, renowned for its giant baobab trees and large herds of elephants. Enjoy an exciting game drive through the park, where you can spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, lions and a variety of bird species. In the late afternoon, you will drive to your lodge, where you will have dinner and spend the night, preparing for the journey to the Serengeti the following day.
After an early breakfast, you will set off for the legendary Serengeti National Park and drive across the vast savannah plains towards the northern Serengeti. This region is famous for the spectacular wildebeest migration and the thrilling crossings of the Mara River, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras attempt to cross the crocodile-infested waters in search of fresh grazing land. Your game drive will focus on tracking down these migrating herds whilst keeping an eye out for predators such as lions, cheetahs and leopards, which are hot on the heels of the animals. The northern Serengeti is also home to elephants, giraffes and many species of antelope. After these wildlife sightings in this spectacular landscape, you will return to your camp in the heart of the Serengeti wilderness for dinner and the night.
The day begins with an early morning game drive in the northern Serengeti to maximise your chances of seeing wildlife in action, particularly the wildebeest migration near the Mara River. The cool morning hours offer excellent opportunities to spot predators on the hunt and large herds grazing on the plains. After the game drive, you will be taken to the nearby airstrip to catch your scheduled return flight to Zanzibar. You will then be transferred to your accommodation.
And so your safari comes to an end, hopefully with some great souvenir photos and unforgettable memories
